APT 101
3rd Floor, 233 Sukhumvit Rd, Khwaeng Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110
APT 101 is the most conceptually committed nightlife project Soho Hospitality has built to date. The Roy Halston persona running through every menu and event invite is the kind of editorial coherence most Bangkok clubs skip entirely. The strict dress code and 20-plus door policy keep the room consistent. If you want to dance without navigating a tourist-heavy mega-club, this is the right call.
The elevator opens directly into the foyer on the third floor of a low-rise building a few minutes from Asok BTS. What greets you is not a conventional Bangkok club interior. Warm brown woods, swooping multi-colored carpets, and mid-century furniture sit under Warhol-inspired wall pieces. The shelves hold actual era-appropriate vinyl records. The "Brown Era" 1970s New York reference is applied consistently across every surface, which takes genuine restraint to pull off.\n\nSoho Hospitality, the group behind Havana Social and Above Eleven, opened APT 101 in November 2024. The persona driving the brand is "R.H.", a reference to legendary New York designer Roy Halston and his infamous penthouse lifestyle. That character appears in menu copy, event invitations, and the spatial logic of the three rooms. The Arcade holds the vinyl and the main floor energy. The Pantry offers a quieter, more domestic warmth. The Club House is where the room opens up for dancing.\n\nCapacity runs between 60 and 200 people depending on the event configuration. The weekly DJ schedule rotates through disco, house, and hip-hop programming, with international names such as Floyd Lavine and Dennis Gold appearing alongside regular Bangkok residents. The club posts the current lineup on Instagram rather than locking it into a fixed calendar, so checking before you arrive is worth the 30 seconds.\n\nPractical note: the dress code enforces a minimum age of 20 and bans sandals, sleeveless shirts for men, sportswear, and large bags. The door applies these rules consistently, so plan accordingly. Complimentary parking is available at Robinsons Shopping Mall next door, which removes one Bangkok logistical headache.\n\nAPT 101 won BK Magazine's Best New Design Award in its opening year. That recognition reflects the quality of the physical space rather than just the programming. The food menu offers New York-inspired light bites alongside a cocktail list and a wine selection, meaning a full evening from dinner through to close is genuinely viable without leaving the floor.
