BITEC delivers serious scale without the chaos you might expect from a venue this large. The column-free halls, dedicated convention wings, and 28 meeting rooms mean that trade show organisers, concert promoters, and corporate event teams all find a format that works for their audience. The Bang Na BTS skywalk connection makes arrival straightforward for visitors coming from across Bangkok.

Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre opened in 1997 in the Bang Na district, positioned to serve a city growing into a regional hub for commerce and international events. The venue sits on Debaratna Road in Bang Na Tai and is connected to BTS Bang Na Station (E13) via a covered skywalk from Exit 1, placing it firmly within reach of the city's rail network. Suvarnabhumi International Airport lies only a short drive away, supporting international delegates and exhibitors who need both convenience and speed.

The total event footprint exceeds 70,000 square metres. The core of this space is made up of 10 column-free exhibition halls, numbered EH 98 through EH 107, with a combined unobstructed length of 867 metres along a single axis. This layout allows large trade fairs to expand across multiple halls without internal barriers interrupting the floor plan. EH 100 stands out with the highest ceiling at 25 metres, making it suitable for large-scale installations, heavy machinery displays, and productions requiring significant vertical clearance. Beyond the exhibition floors, BITEC provides 6 convention halls and 28 meeting rooms, capable of supporting up to 136 separate meeting sessions in a single day.

Total delegate capacity reaches 40,000 across the full site, and parking accommodates up to 5,050 vehicles. The Welcome Hall serves as the primary guest entry point from the skywalk and acts as a central orientation space linking the different hall clusters.

BITEC hosts a wide variety of events across the calendar year. International trade shows in sectors including manufacturing, food and beverage, construction, and technology regularly fill the halls. Consumer expos, fan conventions, and large-scale concerts have also become a familiar part of the programme. The venue's proximity to the expressway network and the airport positions it well for regional events drawing attendees from across Southeast Asia.

The surrounding Bang Na area has developed into a substantial commercial corridor, with hotels, restaurants, and retail options clustered near the venue to support multi-day event visitors.
