This is where you test indoor sports without committing to a single-discipline gym. The booking system runs online only, so walk-ins hit a closed door. Membership is the gate, but once through you have access to a 6-meter rock climbing wall, a putting green, and a sand volleyball court behind the building. If you want variety over specialization, this is the setup.

You walk into a high-ceilinged hall where the court lines overlap and the space shifts sport to sport depending on who booked the slot. Basketball hoops hang at one end, badminton nets stack against the side wall, and the floor markings serve volleyball, takraw, futsal, table tennis setups, judo mats, and boxing rings when the hour turns over. This is Indoor Stadium 1, the first of two indoor halls at Chulalongkorn University Sports Center on Soi Chulalongkorn 9 in Pathum Wan, a block of university-owned sports facilities where CU athletes train daily and the general public can book time if they hold a membership. The design is rotation over specialization.

The sports list includes volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, judo, boxing, gymnastics, and Thai fencing. International fencing and taekwondo competitions happen here when events are scheduled. Behind the building, 450 square meters of sand becomes a beach volleyball court when the nets go up. A putting golf course sits in front of the entrance, and a 6-meter rock climbing wall gives you a vertical route when floor sports fill the schedule.

Bookings go through an online system that runs from 9 AM to just before midnight every day. Walk-ins are turned away. CU students, faculty, and staff train free; everyone else registers for a monthly or annual membership before the first session.

Hours split by week: Monday through Friday opens at 6 AM and closes at 9 PM, Saturday runs 9 AM to 6 PM. The facility is closed Sundays and public holidays. The phone line (0 2218 2878) answers questions, but reservations must go online.
