Decathlon Rama 2
80/2 Rama II Rd, Tha Kham, Bang Khun Thian, Bangkok 10150
This branch rewards a deliberate trip from across the city. The 572-meter track behind the store turns a shoe trial into an actual lap, and the pump track lets you put a bike through a real run before buying. Free sports classes for members make this a place to train at, not just to shop. Worth the drive.
You arrive expecting a sports shop. Around the back, a 572-meter running track loops the property, with a pump track and a sports playground laid out beside it. The store is built to be tested before it sells anything.
This is the biggest Decathlon in Thailand, sitting on Rama II Road in Bang Khun Thian. What changes here is what sits at the back of the lot. The 572-meter outdoor running track lets you test running shoes on a full lap before committing at the till. The pump track is open to bikes, skateboards, and scooters, so a kid's first BMX gets a real ride before it goes home, and the sports playground next door holds badminton and basketball courts plus weightlifting racks. Decathlon members can join free sports classes there, which makes the back of the lot a place to use, not just a place to test. The combination is unusual: you can test the gear on the gear's own ground before you commit.
The location works against you if you do not drive. Bang Khun Thian sits well off the BTS map on the Rama II corridor heading toward the Gulf. Pull in to the free lot, and budget for traffic on the way in if you are coming from Sukhumvit or Sathorn.
The 572-meter rear track is the reason to make the trip. Bring a bike if you want the pump track, and try out a pair of shoes on the running loop before you commit. Hours run 9 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week.
