Duke of Beerington
Ground Floor, SK Tower, 858 Sukhumvit Rd, Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110
Duke of Beerington is a compact craft beer bar on Sukhumvit run single-handedly by founder Um Kriangkrai, where every selection reflects one operator's taste. The differentiator is exactly that focus: a solo-run 15-square-metre bar with a curated list rather than a committee-picked fridge.
Duke of Beerington is a craft beer bar founded by Um Kriangkrai, who opened the original nine-square-metre room near Toby's on Sukhumvit Soi 38 in December 2018. After the first landlord reclaimed the space, he relocated to the ground floor of SK Tower at 858 Sukhumvit Road and rebuilt the bar from scratch.
The current space runs about 15 to 16 square metres, with plain white walls and a beech-toned wood table down the centre. Um runs the whole operation alone across six days a week, which means the beer list reflects one person's standards rather than a purchasing committee's compromise.
That single-operator model is the identity: a tightly curated craft selection in a room small enough to keep the focus on the beer and the conversation around the shared table. Regulars deal directly with the founder, who pours, recommends and restocks himself.
The compact scale also keeps the atmosphere close, closer to a friend's front room than a commercial bar, which is part of the draw for those who return.
The bar is on the ground floor of SK Tower, 858 Sukhumvit Road, Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei. Hours run Tuesday to Saturday from 2PM to 11PM and Sunday from 4PM to 11PM, closed Monday. Enquiries run through the bar's Facebook page.
