The GEMS GALLERY in Ratsada occupies a three-acre site on Chalermprakiat Rama 9 Road, the bypass road that runs north toward Phuket Airport, and at 12,000 square metres it is one of the largest jewellery showrooms of its kind in the world. The scale matters because the facility functions as more than a shop: it is a structured visit that moves through geology, craft, and commerce in sequence.
The experience begins at The Ride, an interactive attraction unique to this branch. Visitors board a miniature train and travel through a recreated underground environment that traces the journey of gemstones from formation deep within the earth through millions of years to the hands of the craftspeople who cut and set them. Special effects including a simulated volcanic sequence run alongside narration available in multiple languages, setting the context for everything that follows.
From there, the tour moves into the working factory floors, where jewellers can be observed at each stage of the production process, from initial design sketches through stone setting and finishing.
