Lenzi Tuscan Kitchen
69/1-2 Ruamruedee 2 Witthayu Rd, 10330
Lenzi is a family-run Italian restaurant in the Ploenchit-Ruamruedee corridor, anchored by produce imported from the Lenzi family's certified farm in Pisa. The Michelin Guide recommends starting with the Tagliere del Lenzi charcuterie board before moving to Pappardelle al Ragu di Cinghiale. Extra virgin olive oil goes into every dish and the family's own limoncello closes the meal. A tuk-tuk can collect diners from Ploen Chit BTS on request.
Lenzi Tuscan Kitchen occupies a private, elegant space on Soi Ruamruedee 2 off Wireless Road in Bangkok's Ploenchit-Lumphini area, with the closest BTS station being Ploen Chit. The restaurant is family-owned and run by Executive Chef Francesco Lenzi, originally from Pisa in Tuscany, Italy.
The concept is built on provenance. Hams and cheeses at Lenzi come from the family's own operation, L'Antica Norcineria, a traditional Norcineria (specialist pork-butcher shop) established in Ghivizzano, near Lucca, Tuscany, in 1945. The cured meats and cheeses are certified by Slow Food International. Free-range pigs at the family farm are raised on seasonal feeds including sweet corn, bran, soy, barley, and sweet chestnuts, and reach 180 to 240kg before processing. Additional quality ingredients are imported directly from Italy.
The kitchen operates as a show kitchen, entirely open, with all dishes cooked to order at the moment of service. Chef Lenzi's philosophy centres on old-school preparation methods, extra virgin olive oil in every dish, and genuine caloric balance in the cooking. The Michelin Guide, which lists Lenzi Tuscan Kitchen in its Bangkok selection, describes the experience as eating at a friend's house in an unpretentious and welcoming environment.
Recommended dishes from the Michelin listing include the Tagliere del Lenzi, a charcuterie board of cold cuts from Lucca paired with creamy cheeses, and Pappardelle al Ragu di Cinghiale, wide pasta ribbons in a wild-boar tomato ragu. Dessert includes the family's own limoncello, produced by Chef Lenzi's mother.
The full menu spans more than 60 dishes across antipasti, salads, soups, pasta and risotto, fish and meat mains, wood-grill and soapstone-finished items, and desserts. A set lunch, wine cellar, and bar are also available.
Opening hours are 11:30 to 14:00 and 17:30 to 22:30, seven days a week. Reservations can be placed via the restaurant's website or by phone at +66 95 251 5040. For guests arriving by public transit, the restaurant offers tuk-tuk collection from Ploen Chit BTS station on request.
