If you live in Nichada and want a sit-down dinner you can take the kids to, Que Pasa is the default. Lead with the Mexican side of the menu since that is the restaurant's name and identity, build a table around fajitas and a margarita pitcher, and let the kids drift between the playground and the reptile enclosure between courses. Closed Mondays, plan around that.

You turn off the main Pak Kret road into Soi Prasoet Islam, and Que Pasa appears as a low-slung family restaurant signed in the warm yellow palette the Mexican kitchen category has owned globally for thirty years. Inside, the room is laid out around big tables, which sets the tone for how the restaurant works: this is a place built for groups, families, and the international-school-adjacent expat audience that has anchored the Nichada Thani area for decades.

The menu reaches well past Mexican. You will find American comfort plates, Italian pastas and pizzas, and a Thai section for the kids who are still negotiating with new flavours. The kitchen describes its sourcing as locally crafted, which in practice means produce-led plates rather than imported-shelf Tex-Mex.

The restaurant has been operating in this same Pak Kret pocket since the late 1990s.

The defining feature of Que Pasa is the layout for children. A small playground sits within sight of the dining tables, and a separate enclosure hosts a handful of reptiles and birds. Parents can finish a margarita without negotiating; kids can rotate through three different forms of distraction between starters and mains. Delivery and take-out are also offered, which matters during a Bangkok rainy-season evening when the soi is harder to navigate.

Hours run Tuesday through Thursday 10 AM to 9 PM, and Friday through Sunday 8 AM to 9 PM, with weekend breakfast as a quiet bonus. Monday is the closed day. Booking is by phone on +66 2 960 3821 or via the restaurant's own Facebook page.
