The elevation work matters here. Most Bangkok-area golf runs flat; Riverdale's valley routing and contour changes make it feel like a different region entirely. If you've played Red Mountain and liked the shaping, this is the same design DNA closer to the city.
Jon Morrow and Al Tikkanen spent 2004 through 2008 designing and supervising construction at Riverdale, bringing the same approach that earned their Red Mountain course recognition in Phuket. The 18-hole par-72 course sits in Pathum Thani, next to Bangkok Golf Club and about 30 minutes north of Bangkok's center depending on traffic.
You pull off Tiwanon Road into Bang Kadi sub-district and the course opens into valley terrain carved from the historic Chao Phraya River Delta. The designers used intelligent routing and elevation changes across the layout, a break from the predominantly flat golf common in the capital region. Morrow, who represented Wales and Great Britain as a competitive player before moving into design, worked on-site through the construction phase to refine the shaping.
The facility operates daily from 5:30 AM to 6 PM. A full driving range is on-site. Golf buggies are available, and food service runs during operating hours. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible. Card payments (credit, debit, NFC mobile) work at the counter.
Pathum Thani sits north of Bangkok proper, so if you're coming from Sukhumvit or Silom, factor the drive time. The course opens before dawn; the earliest tee times let you finish before midday heat builds. Booking runs through the property's phone line or third-party golf booking platforms that service the Bangkok area.
