The trilingual instruction is what sets Siam apart in Bangkok's crowded private university market. If you need a full degree program in English or Chinese without relocating, this is one of your few large-scale options. The International College has been running since 1995 and the sustainability ranking signals a campus that invests beyond the classroom.

Siam University sits on Phet Kasem Road in Phasi Charoen, a 38-hectare campus that has grown steadily since founder Narong Mongkhonvanit opened the doors in 1965 as a three-year engineering school. You reach it from the west side of the city. The original technical focus evolved through three name changes until the full university charter arrived in 1989, and the academic footprint now covers 46 undergraduate programs, 17 master's tracks, and five doctoral paths across medicine, law, engineering, communication, and international studies.

The student population exceeds 20,000, taught by roughly 1,000 faculty members, and the instruction runs in three languages. Thai remains the primary medium, but you can complete entire degree programs in English or Chinese, a trilingual model the university pioneered among non-Chinese-speaking higher education systems in the region. The International College, established in 1995, serves over 400 students from more than 15 countries including the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea, and China. MBA coursework is available in both Thai and English.

The School of Medicine opened in 2010 as Thailand's second private medical school, assessed by the Medical Council of Thailand in 2012 with the first cohort starting in August 2013. AACSB International accreditation covers the business programs, and the university holds membership in the International Association of Universities, the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning, and the Global University Network for Innovation. The 2020 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings placed Siam at number 93 globally among 912 institutions for sustainability, the top three among private universities in Thailand.

Instruction spans Thai, English, and Chinese. Check which language your program runs in before enrolling, as not all tracks offer all three options.
