SSDD - Same Shit Different Day
36 Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Rd, Si Lom, Bang Rak, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10500
The name alone tells you who this is for: people who show up at a bar mid-week because Friday feels too far away. Skip the beer jugs and go straight for the Relationshit or The Deadline — the cocktail menu is where SSDD actually earns its personality. Come on a night with a live band, not a DJ set; that's when the room makes sense.
The bar announces itself before you read the menu. Neon signs. The kind that are meant to be photographed but end up just being part of the wallpaper after your second drink.
SSDD sits on Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road in Si Lom, a short walk from BTS Chong Nonsi — easy to find, easy to leave later than you planned. The concept is blunt: a gathering place for Bangkok's self-described "forever adulthood interns," the office workers and freelancers who need somewhere to process the week without pretending everything is fine. That premise sounds gimmicky until the room fills up and you realize half the city quietly agrees.
The cocktail menu leans into the bit. Mad Unicorn, Holy Shit, Relationshit, Nine to Wine, Shark Tank, The Deadline — each name lands as its own small punchline. The drinks themselves are solid enough that the names don't need to do all the work. Happy hour runs Buy 2 Get 1 Free across cocktails, wine by the glass, Singha beer jugs, and Hoegaarden Rose, which means the tab stays manageable even on a Wednesday impulse visit.
Music runs from live pop and R&B through alternative rock, with rotating DJs and live bands depending on the night. The live band nights change the room entirely — louder, more physical, the kind of set where conversations pause mid-sentence because something good just started. R&B and T-pop make up most of the setlist.
SSDD is closed Sundays, which, given the concept, is the one joke the bar doesn't need to make out loud. The bar fills early on weekends — arriving close to 6PM gets you a seat without negotiating for one.
