GIGIPAYNE Studio runs a teaching studio on Rama IV Road in Sathon, at 1034/8-9 Rama IV Road, Thung Maha Mek, Bangkok 10120. From the outside it looks like any Sathon shophouse strip; inside, it covers a wide range of handcraft disciplines from traditional Thai textile arts to contemporary mixed media.
Gigi Payne founded the studio in 2023 after a career in business administration and leadership development coaching. She studied fashion in Bangkok, shifted toward textile design, and built a curriculum now spanning more than a dozen distinct workshop types. Classes run in English and Thai, which is uncommon for specialist craft studios in Bangkok and makes the space more accessible.
The workshop roster includes batik wax-resist dyeing, eco-printing with real botanical materials, batik block printing using carved wooden blocks, and hand weaving on frame looms. The batik and eco-printing sessions in particular go into genuine technique.
