The Siam
The Siam 3, 2 Khao, Vachirapayabal, Dusit District, Bangkok 10300
Built for travellers who want a complete wellbeing retreat in a genuinely historic Bangkok neighbourhood. The Opium Spa and Wellbeing centre is open daily, pairs its treatments with Australian natural brand Sodashi, and sits within a property that has stacked international accolades since 2012. Wellness, Muay Thai, Sak Yant, Thai cooking, riverside dining, and a private pool villa option all live under the same roof.
You arrive by river shuttle along the Chao Phraya and step into a hotel that occupies one of Bangkok's most storied waterfront stretches in the Dusit district. The Siam is operated by Sukosol Hotels and has accumulated international recognition since its opening, reaching No. 42 on The World's 50 Best Hotels in 2023 and earning Travel + Leisure Asia Pacific recognition the same year.
Accommodation runs from Siam Suites and Garden View Suites to River View Suites, Premier River View Suites, Courtyard Pool Villas, and Riverside Pool Villas, giving guests the option of private plunge pools with direct garden or river outlook.
The Opium Spa and Wellbeing centre is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 and has selected Sodashi as its product partner. Sodashi is an Australian natural spa brand whose formulations draw on plant-based and marine ingredients for both skin regeneration and sensory wellbeing. The spa menu is available for download from the hotel website. The wellness programme extends beyond massage to include yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and Reiki sessions, available individually or as part of multi-day wellness programmes.
Signature experiences unique to The Siam include Muay Thai training sessions, traditional Sak Yant tattoo ceremonies, and Thai cooking classes, reflecting the hotel's commitment to immersive cultural programming alongside physical wellbeing.
Dining centres on Chon Thai Restaurant, a riverside venue serving Thai cuisine, and The Story House Lounge for lighter fare and afternoon tea, offered as a full set on weekends and a la carte on weekdays between 12:00 and 17:00. A river shuttle operates on a published schedule for guests travelling to and from central Bangkok.
