Aim for the weekend service when the Signature and Premium Chinese buffets open and the dim sum range is fully on. If you have kids, the under-6-free policy makes the room one of the friendlier buffet economics in the Siam corridor. Step up to the premium tier if you want the suckling pig and the giant river prawns unlimited.
The dining room sits inside Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square at 392/44 Rama I Road, decorated to read like a Thai street market rather than a hotel banquet hall. Live stations sit along the perimeter and the seating fills the center; the format is buffet-first, with the kitchen working in front of you across the international, Chinese, and Thai sections.
Mornings open at 6 AM. The international breakfast buffet runs to 10:30 and lists at THB 419++, with a floating breakfast option at the hotel pool priced at THB 850++ per couple as the alternative.
The weekend service is where the menu earns its reputation. Saturday and Sunday lunch opens 12 to 2:30 PM. Friday through Sunday dinner runs 5:30 to 10 PM. Two Chinese buffet tiers anchor those services: a Signature Chinese Buffet and a Premium Chinese Buffet, with the premium tier adding unlimited giant river prawns and a suckling pig station. Dim sum across both tiers is the dish the room is built around.
Families pay less than they expect. Children under six eat free; ages six to twelve pay half. For a couple bringing two small kids the math lands closer to a two-person bill than a four-person one.
For a single weekday visit, the breakfast service is the easier on-ramp. For a weekend, jump straight to the premium dinner and order the prawns.
