Come for dinner, not lunch. The kitchen only fires up at 3 PM, which means the room is built for unhurried evenings, not quick weekday meals. Order the seafood spaghetti and a Chianti, sit near the window, and let the night stretch.

Soi 18 is not where Bangkok's Italian spotlight usually lands. The Thonglor and Sathorn rooms get the press. Venezia has spent years quietly running a different play on the Asoke side of Sukhumvit: a single-room kitchen, classical Italian music on a low loop, a menu that does not chase trends.

You walk in past a small bar and the kitchen pass is visible from most of the room. The space seats a comfortable crowd without feeling commercial, the lighting drops low after sunset, and the pasta water is already on by the time you order.

The menu is the long-form Italian playbook done without shortcuts. Handmade pasta in several shapes, wood-fired pizza from the back oven, risotto worked to order, and a meat section that runs from veal to lamb depending on the night. The seafood spaghetti and the penne a la vodka with shrimp turn up across guest mentions as the dishes worth leading with, and the sausage spaghetti is the comfort pick on a slower evening. Garlic bread arrives as a default opener.

Know that the kitchen does not open until 3 PM. This is not a lunch room. If you are trying to slot a midday meeting nearby, look elsewhere on Soi 18 and circle back for dinner. Last order is 10 PM, so the latest comfortable seating sits around 8:30 if you want a full three-course pace.

Bring two friends, order pasta to share, and ask what the chef has in for the night fish. The room rewards a long sit more than a quick bite.
