Jaguemsong Siam Square One
388 ชั้น 5 ห้องเลขที่ ss5016 อาคารสยามสแควร์วัน, ิ, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
Order the Jajangmyeon and the JJukkumi Jaengban Jajang on the same table to read the kitchen across the plain and the squid-loaded sides of the black-bean format. Add the Sacheon Tangsuyuk for the sweet-and-sour balance. The Siam Square One floor is the easiest branch when you are coming off Siam BTS for a quick lunch.
You ride the escalators up Siam Square One, step off on the 5th floor, and find Jaguemsong tucked into the upper-floor dining lineup with a spacious Korean-style room around it.
The menu is jajangmyeon-led. Standard Jajangmyeon, the black-bean-sauce noodle dish that defines Korean-Chinese cooking, lists at 220 baht. The squid-loaded JJukkumi Jaengban Jajang sits at 350 baht, and the Yakimyeon, a red-sauce stir-fried seafood noodle, at 260 baht. Beyond the noodle section, the Sacheon Tangsuyuk sweet-and-sour pork lists at 300 baht, the Mulmandu Korean dumplings at 120 baht, and the Sundubu JJigae soft tofu soup at 150 baht for the days when you want broth instead of noodles.
The brand opened in 2005 in the original Korea Town stretch on Sukhumvit 12. Three branches followed: this Siam Square One mall location, plus The Mall Ngamwongwan up in the Nonthaburi corridor and Mega Bangna out east near the airport-side of the city. The Sukhumvit 12 mothership still runs on +66 2 250 0060 for guests who want the original room.
Siam Square One sits directly above the Siam BTS interchange, which makes the branch an easy lunch stop when you are moving between Siam, Chit Lom and Phaya Thai on the green line. The branch phone is +66 2 003 9028 for reservations.
Come with at least two so you can order one noodle plus one side plus a dumpling round, and lead the order with the standard Jajangmyeon if the table has not eaten the dish before. Delivery runs through LINEMAN and Grab if you want the menu at home.
