June Pang is a Banthat Thong Road institution built around one excellent idea: thick shokupan bread, made and baked on premises, griddled and topped to order. Owner Patchraporn Khiewtong keeps the menu focused, with the Caramel Toast with Hokkaido ice cream and Pandan Custard Toast with Coconut Milk ice cream as the two anchors. Drinks run to Thai tea, cold milk, and green tea, priced for everyday visits at 101-250 THB per head.

June Pang sits on Banthat Thong Road in Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, at an address that has become a landmark for the sweet-tooth crowd moving through this stretch between the Chulalongkorn University precinct and Sam Yan. The name belongs to its founder, Patchraporn Khiewtong, known as Khun June, whose passion for bread eating translated directly into a concept built around shokupan, the soft Japanese-style milk bread she makes and bakes on the premises every day.

The front of the shop is an open theatre: staff griddle slices of shokupan on a flat pan over low heat, coat them in caramel or the house pandan custard sauce, and build the finished toast in view of the queue. A glass-windowed bakery area lets visitors watch the dough preparation, adding to the production feel of a spot that moves quickly and serves fresh.

The menu stays disciplined. Signature toasts include the Caramel Toast, which arrives with a thick slab of griddled shokupan glazed in the house caramel recipe and topped with a scoop of Hokkaido ice cream, and the Pandan Custard Toast, paired with coconut milk ice cream for a strongly Thai-inflected finish. The Banoffee Toast and a Steamed Toast with Pandan and Thai Tea Custard also feature. Toppings rotate through options including Nutella, strawberry, blueberry crumble, and strawberry cream, giving the menu enough variety to justify return visits.

Drinks at June Pang are straightforward: Thai tea, cold milk, green tea, cold cocoa, and Coco Thai Tea, all priced to match the dessert items. A Strawberry Crumble Milk has drawn particular attention. The venue runs two floors of seating and is open-fronted for airflow, creating a casual, neighbourhood-cafe energy rather than anything aspirational. Pricing sits at 101-250 THB per person across the full range, making June Pang an accessible daily stop as well as a destination for visitors to the area.
