Order a pizza first. Massilia grew from a 2015 pizza truck into the Ruamrudee flagship, and the wood-fired pies built the reputation. The starters and salads are strong support, but the 72-hour dough and the DOP Italian imports are why this room ranked 49th best pizzeria in the world in 2024. Lead the table with one.

Soi Ruamrudee 1 is the entry. You turn off Wireless Road into the small community soi behind the embassies, and Massilia opens onto the lane with the wood-fired oven visible from the room.

The dough is the lead. Every pizza ferments naturally for 72 hours before it goes into the oven, and the kitchen flies in DOP-certified ingredients from Italy. Chef Luca Appino and Fred Meyer opened Massilia in 2015 as a pizza truck on Sukhumvit 49, and the operation grew into this Ruamrudee flagship plus a second branch back at the original truck location. The Ruamrudee room holds the Best Pizza in Thailand title for 2021, 2023, and 2024, and ranked 49th best pizzeria in the world in 2024.

Beyond the pies, the menu reaches into Italian classics. Supplì Pomodoro e Mozzarella runs 290 baht, the calamari fritti with lemon and garlic mayo 350, polpette al sugo 340, and the sea hot pot of clams and squid in white wine cream 390. Bruschetta starts at 240 baht for the classic and 290 for the burrata version with stracciatella and basil pesto. Cold cuts and cheese boards land in the 560 to 790 baht range. Burrata caprese with Parma ham reaches 1,090.

Walk in from BTS Phloen Chit and the five-minute approach is part of the appeal. Soi Ruamrudee 1 is a community lane, quieter than Wireless Road itself.

Reserve for weekend dinner. The pizza-of-the-year accolades draw a steady booking pace, and Ruamrudee is small enough that walk-ins after 7 PM run into a wait.
