The planetarium dome is the anchor. Shows rotate every two months, so what you see depends on when you visit. Come for Exhibition Hall 3 if marine life is the draw, Hall 4 if your kids want dinosaurs. The 1964 bones of the original planetarium still shape the experience.

You step off Sukhumvit Road and the building sits next to the Eastern Bus Terminal, a science education facility that began as Bangkok's first planetarium in 1964. The Center for Educational Museum joined in 1976. The two merged in 1992 into what operates now as the Science Center for Education.

Four exhibition halls split the experience. The Planetarium Hall centers on a semidome ceiling where presentations rotate every two months. You sit under the dome and the projection takes you through planetary systems and star fields. Exhibition Hall 2 displays satellite imagery systems and technology advancements. Hall 3 houses aquatic life in dedicated tanks: rare species, endangered fish, freshwater and saltwater specimens separated by ecosystem. Hall 4 runs dinosaur exhibits, insect world displays, and what the center calls strange life showcases.

The facility includes a computer world section, children's workshops, and hands-on exhibits designed for school groups. Wheelchair-accessible entrances, toilets, and car parking cover mobility needs. A restaurant and toilets sit on-site. The center markets itself as good for kids, and the amenities list confirms live performances and theatre offerings tied to the planetarium programming.

Open Tuesday through Sunday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Closed Mondays. An admission fee applies but the venue does not publish specific pricing on its digital channels. The building serves educational groups during weekday mornings and opens to general visitors throughout operating hours.
