Lange started this chain because Bangkok's Mexican food relied on brittle processed flour tortillas, and his solution was to import USA corn and press it fresh using an El Tortilla Presso. You walk in off Silom to a 24-hour kitchen built around one principle: real corn tortillas made from scratch. Imported USA corn, nixtamal processing, an El Tortilla Presso machine turning whole kernels into fresh masa every day. This is what Greg Lange founded the restaurant on in 2007, frustrated by Bangkok's Mexican food scene and its reliance on brittle harina shortcuts. The chain now runs 14 locations across Thailand with 186 staff, but Silom holds the 24-hour anchor at the corner of Soi 4.

The menu runs deep across the full Mexican-American spectrum. Grilled chicken tacos, carnitas, barbacoa, seasoned ground beef, grilled vegetables, chilaquiles, chicken flautas, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, plus a spread of starters, salads, soups, and American favorites. The ingredient sourcing is methodical and traceable: Australian Hass avocados, Halal Australian sirloin grain-fed for 120 days, Australian skirt steak for fajitas, CP Group Halal pork and chicken from Bangkok, European mozzarella and cheddar and gouda, Royal Project tomatoes and lettuce from Thailand's northern highlands, strawberries from Makro. Chef Luis from Colima, Mexico and Chef Ezequiel from Michoacán lead the kitchen, working from family recipes.

The guacamole sits high. House-made from Australian Hass avocado. The margaritas use real fruit, the bar runs a full spirits list, and vegetarian options span the entire menu format from tacos to enchiladas.

Silom operates 24 hours, seven days. Grab delivers around the clock across Bangkok. The restaurant does not accept reservations, so walk-ins and delivery are the two paths in. Outdoor seating available, wheelchair-accessible entrance and seating, bar on site, kids menu with high chairs.
