Thai Niyom Cuisine occupies units 28-29 at Mahatun Plaza on Phloen Chit Road in Lumphini, Pathumwan, and has been in operation for eight years at the time of writing. The restaurant holds a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand designation, an award it has maintained continuously since 2019, recognising good quality cooking at a fair price.
The concept centres on regional Thai cuisine from all parts of the country cooked together on a single menu. Every dish is made from scratch daily, and the kitchen's identity is rooted in the founder's family recipes spanning the bold spices of Isaan, the aromatic curries of the Thai south, and the earthy herbal traditions of the north.
The Chiang Mai Combo is among the restaurant's signature platters, bringing together deep-fried pork belly, Sai-Oua northern Thai sausage, pork in tomato relish, green chili relish, and pork cracklings on one plate, priced at 420 baht. The Phuket Combo is its southern counterpart, assembling a curated selection of Andaman coast specialties at the same price. The Michelin Guide specifically recommends the Phuket stir-fried pork belly with shrimp paste alongside the Chiang Mai Combo as standout dishes.
Beyond the platters, the menu extends to Nam Prik relishes passed down through generations, regional curries, and classic Thai dishes adapted from street-market traditions. Vegetarian options are available including vegan khao soi, larb, krapow, and tom yum using Wanna Be meat replacement. The dessert menu includes Mango Sticky Rice, coconut milk ice cream, and seasonal Thai sweets.
