Tuay Tung is a single-location Thai dessert shop on Soi Chula 12 that builds its identity around homemade ice cream in distinctly Asian flavors and a vintage Chinese aesthetic done in deep green and white. The signature move is the fried mantou set: a golden bun split and filled with a scoop of your choice, priced at 89 THB. Chestnut and peanut brittle are the house signatures; Murasaki sweet potato and old-school Milo Milk keep regulars rotating through the menu.

Tuay Tung Ice-cream occupies a compact corner on Soi Chula 12 in Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, decorated throughout in deep green and white with a vintage Chinese aesthetic that sets it apart from the minimalist cafes crowding central Bangkok. The shop makes its ice cream in-house and draws a loyal local crowd, partly because it is a single location with no chain ambitions.

The menu is built around three set formats. The fried mantou set, priced at 89 THB, is the bestseller: a deep-fried Chinese bun with a crisp exterior and pillowy center, paired with one scoop of ice cream and a cream dip. The steamed mantou set at 79 THB delivers the same bun warm from a bamboo steamer with a scoop and dip. The milk pudding set, also 79 THB, swaps bread for a lightly set pudding. Each set lets you choose from the full flavor roster.

The flavor list leans Asian throughout. Chestnut and peanut brittle are the house signatures; the chestnut reads deep and roasted while the peanut brittle adds crunch to every spoonful. Beyond those, the kitchen rotates flavors including Murasaki sweet potato, Old School Milo Milk, Taiwan milk tea, red bean pink milk, and black sesame tofu. Parfait presentations are also available for those who want the ice cream without the bun.

On the drinks side, Apple Sidra at 65 THB is the crowd favorite, served in the original can. Brown Sugar Milk Tea, also 65 THB, arrives over a large chunk of ice in the style of older tea shops. Iced oolong and Aiyu yuzu jelly round out the beverages.

The Soi Chula 12 location puts Tuay Tung within easy reach of Chulalongkorn University and the Sam Yan MRT, making it popular for an after-class or post-dinner stop.
