Vertigo & Moon Bar
61st Floor, Banyan Tree Bangkok, 21/100 S Sathorn Rd, Thung Maha Mek, Sathon, Bangkok 10120
Vertigo and Moon Bar in Sathon is one of Bangkok's best open-air rooftop experiences for the sky-level city panorama. Book the Vertigo dinner table at the southern perimeter for the full Lumpini Park and river view on a clear night. Arrive at opening time to secure position before the rooftop fills to capacity during peak evenings.
Vertigo and Moon Bar occupy the 61st floor of Banyan Tree Bangkok on South Sathon Road in the Thung Maha Mek area of Sathon. Vertigo is the open-air restaurant at the rooftop level with a seafood and Asian fusion menu served on the outdoor deck above the city. Moon Bar operates as the cocktail lounge at the same floor level. The 360-degree open-air perimeter looks across the Bangkok skyline and the Chao Phraya River corridor. Both Vertigo and Moon Bar sit fully open to the sky with no roof overhead at the 61st floor level. The views from this floor take in Lumpini Park to the north and the river to the west on a clear evening. A smart casual dress code applies for both the restaurant and the bar as part of the Banyan Tree rooftop standard. Vertigo is often cited in rankings of open-air rooftop restaurants across Southeast Asia for its city panorama at altitude. Moon Bar serves the full cocktail programme from the bar perimeter at the western edge of the rooftop facing the river view. The 61st floor evening sky shifts from the golden hour through to the full Bangkok city lights after dark. That full colour shift from sunset to city glow is the defining experience at Vertigo. Reservations for Vertigo dinner are required and should be made several days ahead during the high season from October to March.
Lumphini MRT on the Blue Line and Sala Daeng BTS on the Silom Line both serve the Sathon address within walking distance. South Sathon Road is directly accessible by Grab vehicle from the Silom and Sathorn corridor. The Banyan Tree Bangkok hotel entrance on South Sathon Road handles walk-ins for Moon Bar but pre-booking for Vertigo is strongly recommended.
