Central Pinklao
7/1 Borommaratchachonnani Rd, Khwaeng Arun Amarin, Khet Bangkok Noi, Bangkok 10700
The 2025 relaunch transformed Central Pinklao into something well beyond a suburban department store. Central Pattana's 1.7-billion-baht investment brought a new Lifestyle Department Store concept, a fully refreshed tenant mix of 263 stores, and a Major Cineplex with seven screens, making it the definitive all-in-one destination for the Thonburi and Bangkok Noi communities.
Central Pinklao has anchored the Thonburi side of Bangkok since its opening in 1995, serving a dense residential catchment that includes Bangkok Noi, Bangkok Yai, and Taling Chan. In Q3 2025 the mall completed its largest renovation in 30 years, backed by a 1.7-billion-baht investment from Central Pattana and relaunched under a Retailtainment concept designed to integrate shopping, dining, lifestyle activities, and entertainment for all age groups.
The mall spans six retail floors plus a basement level and covers approximately 60,098 square metres of gross leasable area across 263 tenants. The Central Department Store at the heart of the complex was reimagined as a new-format Lifestyle Department Store, reporting foot traffic growth of around 30 percent in the two months following the relaunch.
Key anchor tenants include Tops Food Hall, Power Buy electronics, B2S bookstore, Officemate, Supersports, Fitness First, and a Food Patio dining court serving both Thai and international food options. Major Cineplex operates seven cinema screens within the complex, making it the primary theatrical destination for the western Bangkok community.
Parking for 3,500 vehicles addresses the reality that Thonburi residents predominantly arrive by car and motorbike. For those using public transport, Bang Yi Khan MRT station on the Blue Line sits in the immediate neighbourhood, and the mall is accessible via multiple bus routes along Borommaratchachonnani Road.
The surrounding area includes Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok Noi railway station, and the Museum of Siam ferry connection across the Chao Phraya, giving visitors easy options for pairing a mall visit with wider Bangkok Noi and riverside exploration.
