Greyhound Café earns its reputation not through novelty but through consistency. Fortune magazine's verdict of "The hottest seats in Bangkok" at the 1998 Emporium opening aged well enough for the brand to expand to London and Hong Kong. The Ari outpost is, in our view, one of the more practical locations in the chain: BTS access at Exit 4, outdoor seating under La Villa's low-rise structure, and a menu wide enough to cover a working lunch and a post-work drink in the same seat.

Greyhound began as a men's casualwear label on Bangkok's fashion scene in 1980. The jump to food came in 1997 when creative director Bhanu Inkawat and executive chef Torsit Sarisdiwongsee opened the first Greyhound Café at the Emporium Shopping Complex. Fortune magazine singled it out as "The hottest seats in Bangkok" within weeks of opening, and by the brand's 10th food anniversary in 2007 there were already 7 Bangkok branches operating under the same "simple with a creative twist" concept.\n\nToday the group runs more than 20 locations in Thailand and 19 internationally across six cities including Hong Kong, Singapore, and London. The La Villa Ari branch sits on the first floor of a three-storey open-air community mall at 358 Phahonyothin Road, a short walk from BTS Ari station at Exit 4 on the N5 line. La Villa itself holds roughly 20 restaurants and cafes, but the Greyhound unit occupies a recognizable position in the lineup thanks to the brand's distinctive design language carried through across every location.\n\nThe kitchen covers the full day. Breakfast and brunch run before noon, lunch and dinner follow through to closing at 10PM. The bar list includes wine, beer, cocktails, and scheduled happy-hour pricing. Outdoor seating is available, useful during cooler months, though Bangkok humidity makes that a judgment call between November and February.\n\nVegetarian options appear on the menu, and the format includes small plates alongside full mains, which makes it workable for solo diners or groups arriving at different hunger levels. Takeaway and delivery are both offered for those who want the food without the dine-in setup. Paid parking exists at the La Villa lot for anyone not arriving by rail.
