Lead with Hishou if you are coming for a meal rather than a stay. It is the signature Japanese room on the ground floor, with shabu-shabu and tempura buffets alongside the la carte. For events, the 735-square-metre Fuji Grand Ballroom is the largest single function space on the Thong Lo strip.

The Nikko opens onto Soi Sukhumvit 55 about two minutes from the Thong Lo BTS exit, a corner of the soi that runs Japanese-leaning by neighborhood character.

Four dining outlets sit inside. Hishou is the signature Japanese restaurant on the ground floor, running a la carte alongside shabu-shabu and tempura buffets. The Oasis is the all-day room. Curve 55 is the lobby lounge. A pool bar sits up at deck level.

The property itself is 301 rooms and suites, distributed across 22 floors above ground and four basement levels. It opened in January 2019 under the Okura Hotels and Resorts brand. The Fuji Grand Ballroom runs 735 square metres, with a satellite ring of smaller meeting rooms named for Japanese flora: Sakura, Ume, Tsubaki, Kaede, Momiji, and Kasumi. The Pool Terrace and The Nikko Terrace are the outdoor event spaces.

An executive lounge serves club-floor guests. The fitness centre and outdoor pool sit on the upper deck.

Book Hishou by phone if you want the buffet slot rather than la carte, the two services are priced separately. The hotel address reads as Thong Lo on the wayfinding signs but the formal Khlong Tan Nuea postcode is the one to give a Grab driver if you want them to drop at the lobby door instead of the BTS station.
