You step into a casual dining room where the kitchen has been replicating royal Thai recipes since 1996. Chanchawee Sakunkan, known as Aunt Daeng, cooked for Princess Mother Srinagarindra and Princess Galyani Vadhana for over 25 years before opening this restaurant. The name honors her sister Apsorn. Three generations of family cooking tradition run through the menu.

The fluffy crab omelette arrives as a golden sphere, impossibly aerated and packed with crab meat, priced at ฿120. It is the dish that built the restaurant's reputation. The crab meat with curry powder follows the same palace-kitchen logic: tender crab stir-fried with curry powder, eggs, onions, and celery for ฿530. The yellow curry with prawns and lotus stems runs ฿150 and pulls from Southern Thai technique. Each dish reflects the cooking Aunt Daeng perfected in royal service, now plated for a public dining room that fills with university students, tourists, and neighborhood regulars.

Michelin Selected status confirmed what locals already knew. The Dinso branch sits near Democracy Monument in Phra Nakhon, one of eight locations the family operates across Bangkok and Nonthaburi. The original branch opened on Samsen Road in Dusit.

Reservations go by phone. The room usually runs a wait during lunch and dinner service, so calling ahead solves that. Open daily from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, the kitchen serves straight through without a break between lunch and dinner.
