Rabbit Hole
125 Thong Lo, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110
Rabbit Hole is the standard-bearer for serious cocktail culture on Thonglor. The speakeasy format, unmarked door and all, gives way to a three-storey bar with industrial-luxury detailing where the bar team works with herbal infusions, house-made elements, and precision technique. The menu has evolved from an A-to-Z alphabet concept to the current city-inspired Crossword format, each drink paired with a clue to solve. Worth the reservation.
Rabbit Hole is located at 125 Thonglor (Sukhumvit Soi 55), Watthana, accessible from the street between Soi 5 and Soi 7. The venue is identifiable only by an unmarked wooden door bearing a small rabbit-head logo, and its unmarked exterior has become part of the bar's identity since it opened.
Inside, the bar spans three storeys in an industrial-meets-luxury design: exposed brickwork sits alongside a marble-topped bar, copper and brass fixtures, and glass cabinets lined with bottles. The ground floor houses the main bar counter, with quieter seating available on the upper levels.
Rabbit Hole received the Campari One to Watch award at Asia's 50 Best Bars 2018, recognising it as a rising-star venue. It subsequently entered the ranked list, placing No. 34 at Asia's 50 Best Bars 2019 and No. 31 in 2020. The bar operates on Thonglor's broader cocktail scene alongside other recognised venues and has maintained its position as one of Bangkok's most acclaimed cocktail destinations across multiple years.
The cocktail menu has evolved through two major concepts. For seven years the bar ran an A-to-Z menu of 26 drinks, each named for a letter of the English alphabet and crafted under bar leadership that has included Supawait 'Palm' Muttarattana and Noppasate 'Depp' Hirunwathit. The current menu, the Crossword Book, features 16 cocktails each inspired by a city from around the world, with guests invited to solve clues to identify each drink's name. Previous standout cocktails from the A-Z era included drinks incorporating fermented raspberry and Campari, herbal rye-based builds with longan and snap pea, smoky matcha and Ardbeg expressions, and Thai olive and wasabi tequila riffs. Cocktails are priced from approximately 420 to 460 baht.
The bar is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends. The average price per cocktail is approximately USD 11.
