Start with the Black Coffee Stout if it is on the board. The IPAs are the most ordered, but the stout is what Burbrit is actually known for outside the regulars. Sit outside on the soi side if the weather allows. The brewer collaborations are the genuinely interesting nights.

You walk in off Sukhumvit 22, past the Holiday Inn entrance, and the taproom opens onto an outdoor beer garden with views straight up the soi.

Twelve taps. The beers are grouped into three brewing categories: The Classics, American Inspired, and Unique Series. Burbrit was conceived in Singapore and born in Yangon, opened in Bangkok in January 2017, and the name is a portmanteau of Burmese and British (the four founders hold both nationalities). The food menu runs from typical pub fare (burgers, pizzas, wings, ribs, fish and chips, steaks) into Myanmar specialties: fermented tea leaf salad, spicy Burmese sausage, and a small set of fusion plates that are genuinely Myanmar, not Westernized.

Monthly Meet the Brewer nights pair the taproom with local Thai home brewers for collaboration pours, and Brew Day demonstrations happen on the schedule the staff post inside. Periodic craft beer festivals add a tap takeover dimension.

The location is approximately 500 meters from Asok BTS, Phrom Phong BTS, and Sukhumvit MRT. The taproom opens at 1 PM daily and runs to 2 AM, which makes it one of the few craft beer rooms in the Asok corridor that takes a late session seriously. Indoor seating is air-conditioned with multiple screens for live sports.

Go with a beer-drinking friend, order one Classic and one Unique pour to compare, and add the tea leaf salad. The Myanmar side of the menu is the differentiator and the easiest way to understand what this taproom actually is.
