Rated 4.3/5 from 1305 Google reviews.

Worth a visit for cocktails and atmosphere in equal measure. The Fairy Garden and Jungle Bird are the house signatures, and the Sazerac made with rye whiskey at 350 THB holds up alongside either. The Binzy Beef Burger and Fish N' Chips anchor the food menu for anyone planning a long night. Live music runs most evenings and the bar stays open until 2am.

You find the entrance at the back of the L'Opera complex on Sukhumvit Soi 39, pull back a heavy curtain, and step into a bar that does not resemble anything else in Phrom Phong. The Iron Fairies was originally conceived by Australian nightlife designer Ashley Sutton, the same creative force behind Maggie Choo's, Sing Sing Theater, and J. Boroski. The current Soi 39 iteration opened its doors on 17 March 2023, after the original Thonglor venue closed during the pandemic. This address is part of the renovated L'Opera complex, which also houses an Italian restaurant and a gelato shop. The design vocabulary is singular. Gothic gargoyles, vials of labeled fairy dust, iron figures suspended overhead, wrought-iron staircases, and weathered wooden furnishings push the low-lit space toward the deliberately theatrical. The Soi 39 location is larger than its Thonglor predecessor, featuring a bigger bar area, a dedicated dance floor, and a new outdoor terrace that gives the venue room to expand as the night progresses. FICO Corporation's own listing names the signature cocktails as Underwood, Smoke and Fire, Paradisi, and Fairy Garden. The Jungle Bird also appears regularly on the bar. For a classic done properly, the Sazerac at 350 THB is built with rye whiskey, bitters, and an absinthe rinse. Food covers the Binzy Beef Burger, Fat Gut'z Burger, and Fish N' Chips. A buy-one-get-one offer on selected wines, draught beer, and classic cocktails including Dry Martini, Negroni, and Campari Spritz runs Sunday through Thursday. The bar is open daily from 6pm until 2am, with live bands rotating through the week.
