How BangkokGotMe Works
How venues get listed, ranked and verified on BangkokGotMe - for visitors and business owners.
Where the listings come from
Every venue record is compiled from publicly available business listings. A record can carry the name, category, address, neighborhood, opening hours, contact details, price level, and a publicly reported star rating and review count. There are 12,960 of them, spread across 28 categories and 35 neighborhoods.
How the ranking is calculated
Ordering inside a category page, a neighborhood page or a best-of list is arithmetic. It is computed from the public rating and the public review count, so a venue with a high score and few reviews does not outrank a venue with a slightly lower score and hundreds. No human moves a venue up or down, and the same calculation runs on every page.
What is not for sale
Ranking position is not for sale, and neither is the wording of a description. We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable descriptions or rankings. Paid placements, where they exist, are labelled on the venue card so you can see them for what they are. The full policy is on editorial standards.
What we do not do
We do not visit venues in person, and there is no on-site testing or human scoring rubric. Ratings, review counts, hours and contact details are snapshots from when a listing was collected or last refreshed, so they can be out of date. Anything time-sensitive, such as opening hours, prices, or whether a venue is still trading, is worth confirming with the venue itself.
Three ways to use it
- Search. Find restaurants, services and venues across Bangkok, filtered by category, neighborhood, rating or price.
- Explore. Browse by neighborhood or category, or open the map to see what is actually within walking distance.
- Ask. Describe what you need on the request page and we forward it to matching venues, who reply to you directly.
If you own a venue
Owners can claim a listing to correct the details, add photos and receive the requests that come in for that venue. Corrections are free and do not depend on any paid tier. Start from list your business, or write to contact@bangkokgotme.com.
