Brioche from heaven
156 Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Rd, Si Lom, Khet Bang Rak, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10500
Brioche from Heaven opened in August 2019 on Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road, Silom, and was founded by Chef Thananya Kaikaew, known publicly as Chef Kai or Chef Gai, the Iron Chef Thailand competitor behind the earlier Soufflé and Me restaurant. All bakery items use butter from Normandy and flour imported from France. The signature brioche roll is filled with crushed pecans, cinnamon, and brown sugar, then topped with caramel swirls, priced at 130 baht.
You push open the door at 156 Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road and step into a space fronted by red brick that reads more like an old-school European boulangerie than a Bangkok cafe strip. Brioche from Heaven opened in August 2019 and is the second venue from Chef Thananya Kaikaew, who competed on Iron Chef Thailand and built her first following at Soufflé and Me, a restaurant focused on French-style soufflés in the Yan Nawa area. The decision to centre an entire cafe on brioche came directly from the cinnamon rolls that Soufflé and Me baked each Sunday morning, which generated enough demand that Chef Kaikaew decided to dedicate a standalone space to the format. Every baked item uses butter from Normandy and flour imported from France, along with organic eggs. The signature Brioche from Heaven roll is filled with crushed pecans, cinnamon, and brown sugar, topped with caramel swirls, and priced at 130 baht. The Normandy Apple Brioche at 120 baht uses apples delivered directly from Normandy and carries a sweet-sour flavour built for those who prefer less sugar. The coconut brioche at 150 baht brings palm sugar and coconut milk into the mix. The yuzu tart at 140 baht is one of the most cited items on third-party lists. Pastries here are sized for sharing between two people and can be kept refrigerated for up to three days. The open kitchen lets you watch bakers pulling trays directly from two built-in ovens. The venue is accessible without a car, sitting 38 metres on foot from Chong Nonsi BTS station.
