Rated 4.6/5 from 2439 Google reviews.

If you have one halal Thai meal in lower Sukhumvit, eat here. Order the massaman, the crab curry, and one fried fish for the table. Walk in: Marriott Marquis is a five-minute stroll away, so the alley is calmer than the BTS-side strip. Last order lands 9:30 PM sharp.

Walk past Marriott Marquis Queen's Park and slip into Sukhumvit Alley 22. The signage is modest. Inside, a small Thai-Muslim family kitchen runs lunch through late dinner, every dish certified halal by the Islamic Committee of Thailand.

The menu lands somewhere between a Bangkok home and a southern Thai canteen. Massaman curry is the gateway order. Crab curry, Penang curry, Thai basil leaf beef, and a deep-fried whole seabass round out the heavier choices. Lighter plates include raw mango salad, papaya salad, and Thai coconut soup. Most mains sit between 80 and 120 baht, which is the part regulars quote back to you.

Orders close at 9:30 PM, not 10. Plan accordingly if you are arriving after the BTS evening crush.

The room is small. Seating fills out into the alley on busier evenings, and the kitchen sends plates out at the speed of a household, not a chain. Sticky rice with mango finishes the table when it is in season. Service runs in Thai and functional English. Cash is the safer bet, and the closest BTS exit is Phrom Phong, a short tuk-tuk or a fifteen-minute walk depending on Sukhumvit traffic.

Come with two or three friends so you can spread an order across a curry, a fried fish, and a salad. That is how the kitchen is built to feed you, and how the 80-baht-a-plate math actually works for a real dinner.
