Kaizen Coffee Ekamai
888 6-7 Ekkamai Rd, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110
Founded by three friends shaped by Australia's coffee culture, Kaizen roasts and brews single-origin beans across classic espresso and filter formats. The 2019 space+craft build gives the brand its most complete expression: an open-plan ground floor and a second storey with varied seating, a full brunch menu with vegan and vegetarian options, and a back wall anchored by a large engraved oak plate bearing the signature 'K'.
You arrive at a standalone glass-fronted building on Ekkamai Road, the double-height facade stepping back from the street to reveal two floors connected by an open plan that space+craft shaped around dark grey brick and naturally finished oak. Kaizen Coffee has occupied this Ekamai address since 2019, having started on the same street in April 2015 when three friends brought their love of Australia's specialty coffee scene to Bangkok.
The coffee programme centres on single-origin beans roasted and brewed in-house. You order from a menu spanning classic espresso formats and filtered options, served hot or cold, with prices from 120 baht. The kitchen runs a full brunch and lunch card alongside, including Eggs Benedict with hollandaise and smoked salmon, Yuzu and Lemon French Toast, and an Acai Bowl built on granola, banana, and Medjool dates. Vegan and vegetarian options appear throughout the menu.
Upstairs, the furniture layout fans out into distinct seating groups so you can settle in at a communal table for a working lunch or take a quieter corner for filter coffee. The back wall of the ground floor carries an oversized round oak plate engraved with 'K', lit by integrated LEDs, anchoring the room's material palette. Street-level, the high clear glass frontage keeps the interior connected to the neighbourhood energy of Ekamai. Worth booking ahead on weekends when brunch demand fills both floors.
