Bring four people and order the mutton across two preparations against one biryani and one butter chicken. The kitchen is at its most confident on the long-simmer dishes, and the thali is the smart solo move when you want range without commitment. Open with pani puri for the table and let the gravies do the rest.

Sukhumvit 47 is the soi that branches off between Phrom Phong and Thong Lo BTS, and Indiagate runs its kitchen at number 875 with the same North Indian menu it has been refining since 2004. Twenty-two years in, the operation now spans five locations across Thailand including Pratunam, Pattaya Terminal 21, Pattaya Beach Road, and Phuket.

The centre of the menu is the curry section. Butter chicken is the gateway dish and the version here leans rich rather than sweet, the gravy reduced rather than thickened with cream. Mutton gets its own block of the menu and the kitchen treats the bone-in cuts with the slow-cook discipline that separates a serious North Indian house from a quick-curry kitchen.

Biryani arrives sealed and the rice carries the masala without going greasy. Pani puri opens the table well for a group, and the thali is the format to order when you want to taste across the menu in one sitting. Vegetarian builds out around the paneer and dal lines.

The room handles three jobs in parallel: a la carte tables, corporate buffet bookings, and catering for outside events. Group travel coordination runs through the same line. For anything beyond two covers on a weekend, call ahead on +66 92 821 7555 to lock the table.

Indiagate sits closer to Phrom Phong BTS than to Thong Lo. From Phrom Phong exit 4, walk north and turn into Soi 47; the restaurant is on the right-hand side of the soi. The neighbourhood eats late, the kitchen runs late, and the value math holds up when you split four ways.
